When the battle is hard, turn to the Lord and be strengthened and encouraged because you are on the winning side, because the battle is the Lord’s. God is in control, trust Him because the battle is His. Have you given up? Realize you are on the victory side. How’s the battle in your life? Trust Jesus and join the fight, but it’s not your battle, it’s God’s. We need to understand that the battle is not ours, but God’s. God will fight it if you let Him or you can try. We need to put our eyes on God for the battle is the Lord’s. When others challenge, we unite then we can bear. He said that God says be not afraid of these attaching armies. Everyone including the King called to God an say “our eyes are upon you and a man of God came up from the midst of the crowd and spoke with the Holy Spirit upon him. If there is trouble around you and you don’t know what to do, look to the Lord to help you. King Jehoshaphat and the people of God were in trouble with the enemy closing in all around with their armies. There is only one Gospel that we must preach to the world to be saved. The Lord promised that if the people call and turn to Him, He will deliver them and us today. All our problems are because we turn against God. He sought the Lord with his people - a national turning to God. Surrounded by enemies, Jehoshaphat, the King of Israel did not have the resources to battle, he was afraid. In II Chronicles, it was a time of real battle for Israel. Our faith will lead us through the battle. Some have fallen in battle and some will be victorious. The things we have to bear every day, or sometimes we are wounded even by our own side. All battles have casualties, some don’t take the battle seriously, others desert, become traitors, or grow weary in the battle. We need to endure for the long term and lean on the Lord, realizing that the battle is the Lord’s. Christians need to be near God and recognize who the enemy is. Christians are soldiers, we are commanded to be in the battle. Many people were against Christ in Jesus’ time and in our time. The world and all that is in it shall pass away. Everything we have in this world is temporary and everything is constantly changing. The pride of mankind is that man is good. Don’t get attached to things of this world. There have been people who worship the creation more than the Creator. We have a God-given duty to take the solution to our world. The enemy of the Christian is the world - the world system and its philosophy. We have wars between us because we have war within us. It is not between Christians and non-Christians. Non-Christians are not even in the battle. The Battle’s Not Yours is a sermon teaching us that the Christian life is a battle, not a physical one but a spiritual one.
